We were able to make much better time then anticipated.  The truck is making reasonable mileage so we only had to make three fuel stops.

We made Portage, Indiana, ~ 50 miles west of South Bend, about 2045 hrs.
Checked into a cheapie motel ($ 27.40) and had a wonderful Italian dinner at an adjacent restuarant.

The truck is performing well but we have some suspicions about the break system.
